Desiree Somers

Desiree Somers is a chef‑turned‑entrepreneur whose work is shaped by her diverse African, Caribbean, European, and Spanish heritage, and by the global journeys of her ancestors. Her early entrepreneurial path began in 2005 with Tropic Importers, followed by professional training in culinary arts, public speaking through Toastmasters, and performance experience in film, television, and commercial productions from 2009 to 2017. She later trained at Van Arts in acting and completed voice lessons, strengthening her communication, confidence, and on‑camera presence.

As a single mother of five, Desiree learned resilience, resourcefulness, and how to make the most out of limited household resources—experiences that shaped her understanding of waste, sustainability, and community behavior. She is the CEO and Founder of ZeroFlow Digital Inc., QRHomes.digital, and Desire Treats, where she transforms identity, lived experience, and cultural legacy into digital systems that empower households, reduce contamination, and support circular‑economy innovation across communities.
