Ryan Sanborn

Ryan is the Development Manager for Organics at Black Earth. With mining operations based at Sheerness near Hanna Alberta, Black Earth has reclaimed all 17,000 acres of the original mine site using Humalite to amend the thin soils in this region. With the success of reclamation and crop trials in the area Black Earth is now entering the organics processing space with Humalite.

Ryan has worked in the waste and recycling business for 15 years supporting large municipal curbside programs with cart deployment logistics and collection strategy. He is working in partnership with haulers and organics processors to incorporate Humalite to find processing efficiencies, reduce odour and develop an enhanced compost end product for Cities to use and sell.
