Kevin Pennock
Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise (KORE)
Kevin is the co-founder and Executive Director of KORE Outdoors, a Kootenay non-profit organization dedicated to makers and creators in the outdoor recreation manufacturing and design sector.
Since launching KORE in April 2020, Kevin has worked along side the KORE Board to bring together the Kootenay outdoor gear makers, designers and brands into a network, facilitating resources to scale and attracting other brands and companies to start up or relocate to the region.
Most recently, Kevin is leading the development and implementation of the KORE ReHub, a circular initiative in partnership with the College of the Rockies, to make the Kootenays synonymous with outdoor gear circularity.
Kevin has been immersed in outdoor adventure and the outdoor industry, both as a filmmaker and as a project manager, including creating the Ride Guide TV series and Nordic Sport Manager for the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games.
