Maryia Halubok

Dr. Maryia Halubok is a project manager in the Data and Agri-Food sector at CSA Group (Canadian Standards Association). In this role, Maryia leads standards development and research initiatives focused on food loss and waste, soil health, and agricultural data and metadata.
She holds a PhD in Geosciences from the University of Texas at Austin and has over a decade of experience in environmental modelling and data analysis in academia. Her previous work included improving wetland methane emissions modelling in Canadian climate models and applying machine learning techniques to support walnut harvest estimation.
In addition to her professional work, Maryia has volunteered with initiatives such as the UT Austin STEM Muse program, which fostered a mentorship-centered community that connected women in STEM across career stages to expand their networks, support career growth, and strengthen a sense of belonging.
